Banquet Bartender

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up the bar workstation for each shift, ensuring all necessary supplies are available and organized
  • Provide beverage services to guests during banquets and events, following proper service standards
  • Greet and acknowledge all patrons appropriately, offering assistance with information and special requests
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the banquet dining area, including bar counters, glassware, and other related equipment
  • Ensure the bar is stocked with adequate supplies of liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other necessary items
  • Monitor guest behavior and enforce responsible alcohol service practices
  • Coordinate with the Banquet Manager and other banquet staff to ensure smooth service during events
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including the proper handling of food and beverages
  • Collect payments, process transactions, and provide change as necessary
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in line with hotel standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager
Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

Minimum Experience

  • Previous bartending experience preferred, particularly in a banquet or event setting
  • TAPs Card certification
  • Food Handler’s Card certification

Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience in bartending, with a solid understanding of diverse drink recipes and bartending techniques
  • Strong interpersonal, oral communication, and customer service skills, with a genuine desire to serve people
  • Professional, well-groomed appearance, adhering to the no visible facial piercings or tattoos policy, with a polite and positive demeanor
  • Excellent reasoning, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and safely under pressure
  • Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and a cooperative attitude in all aspects of work
