Coat Check Attendant
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with the check-in of coats, jackets, and other personal items. Provide clear instructions for item retrieval and answer any questions guests may have
- Organize and maintain a clean, orderly coat check area, ensuring personal belongings are handled with care to prevent damage or loss. Use a ticketing or tagging system to track items for accurate retrieval
- Monitor the coat check area to ensure the safety and security of guests’ belongings. Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor, responding to guests’ requests and providing assistance as needed
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, or issues related to personal belongings in a timely and professional manner
- Assist the Catering team with related tasks as directed by the Director of Catering
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Minimum Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred
Skills/Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in handling guests’ personal belongings
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask during busy periods
- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and a cooperative attitude in all aspects of work
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry items as needed
