Licensed Massage Therapist
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, sports, therapeutic massages, and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and promote relaxation
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine individual needs and tailor treatment while adhering to anatomy knowledge
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the massage therapy room and equipment
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment plans
- Uphold all sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with state regulations
- Adhere to scheduling and appointment times to ensure efficient operation
- Communicate effectively with clients and staff to create a welcoming and professional environment
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification or licensure as a Massage Therapist in the State of Alaska and Insured
- Minimum of one year of professional massage therapy experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
Minimum Experience
- Must have a basic knowledge of massage techniques and their therapeutic benefits
- Minimum of one year of professional massage therapy experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
