Accounting Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Manage billing, collections, and renewals for Captain Cook Athletic Club, including processing new member contracts and promotions
- Assist hotel guests in resolving billing disputes and credit card issues
- Investigate and resolve credit card disputes
- Reconcile and audit sales receipts from all restaurant outlets
- Process credit card payments through the property management system and manage deposits from hotel and restaurant outlets
- Crosstrain with accounts payable and accounts receivable desks to provide coverage as needed
- Maintain inventory of Accounting Department supplies
- Handle incoming calls, screening and forwarding as appropriate
- Process and distribute departmental mail
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of two to four years of experience in accounting, preferably in credit card processing and accounts payable
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Accurate data entry and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the Squirrel Point of Sale system, Maestro Property Management system, and Shift4 payment gateway preferred but not required
