Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Food & Beverage Director regarding Preferred Hotel Standards
- Coordinate with Restaurant-Bar manager regarding assigned duties
- Coordinate with Accounting regarding cash accountability, Remanco problems and any other related questions
- Coordinate with cooks for special orders, description, and the presentation of food items of the day/evening to guests
- Provide exceptional service to guest throughout the entire meal, making their dining experience a pleasant and outstanding one
- Efficiently take guest’s order in a timely manner, including all modifications and/or allergies/dietary restrictions they may have
- Proficient in upselling appetizers, soups, salads, specials
- After seating, offer guest beverage and upsell premium beverages
- If beverages are ¾ empty, ask if they would like a refill/another
- Water refilled continually
- Memorize daily specials
- Explain specials using descriptive and appetizing terms
- Supervise bus persons who assist in service of foods and clearing/cleaning of tables
- Check table to assure they are cleaned to hotel standards
- Setting up tables (napkins, silverware, plates, etc.)
- Replenishing supplies and ensuring that the workstations are clean
- Servicing guests with incidentals such as water, coffee, tea and butter
- Cleaning and emptying trash cans
- Assist guest in seating, greeting and providing menus
- Present check within 5 minutes after delivery of final course in a courteous and prompt manner
- After guests’ departure, clear dishes from table and reset according to opening duties standards
- Thank guests by name for their patronage after every dining experience
- Open and closing side work as stated in the Preferred Standards
- Physically fit and capable of lifting 20lbs to 30lbs
- Physical ability to work various 8-hour workdays standing for their entirety
- Other duties as directed
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum Experience
- Prefer 1-year table attendant experience in a restaurant
- TAPs Card certification
- Food Handler’s Card certification
